NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE WORLD KUMMOOYEH FEDERATION
Dear Members,
It is with considerable regret that the World Kummooyeh Federation issues the following notice concerning a matter of significant importance to our organization and its members.
Notice of Separation from the Federation
The World Kummooyeh Federation has determined that Master Moon Kap Kim, who has been serving as President of the Federation in the United States, has undertaken actions to establish and operate a separate martial arts organization independent of the World Kummooyeh Federation and without its authorization, consultation, or approval while continuing to use Federation techniques and methods.
After careful consideration of these circumstances and their implications for the Federation and its members, the Federation, by unanimous decision of the council, has concluded that such actions are incompatible with the responsibilities and obligations associated with leadership within our organization. Accordingly, effective immediately, Master Moon Kap Kim has been removed from all positions held within the World Kummooyeh Federation, and his affiliation with the Federation has been permanently terminated.
We respectfully request that all member instructors and masters take note of this determination.
Information for Instructors Previously Registered Under Master Moon Kap Kim
The Federation recognizes that many instructors and students may be affected by this development and may have questions regarding their status, training, and future participation in Kummooyeh. We therefore ask that the following information be reviewed carefully.
The Federation understands that a number of instructors enrolled in training and certification programs through Master Kim. However, despite repeated requests, the Federation has not been provided with complete records or documentation concerning certain enrollments, registrations, or related payments. As a result, the Federation is presently unable to independently verify the status of some individuals who may have believed they were enrolled in official Federation programs.
The Federation has made multiple attempts to obtain the necessary information to clarify these matters but has not received the cooperation required to fully reconcile the relevant records.
Additionally, with respect to the upcoming competition in Korea, the Federation has not received registrations through the established and approved registration procedures from instructors or masters believed to be associated with Master Kim. When the Federation requested information regarding prospective participants, Master Kim instead turned to discussions for more instructional materials and curriculum resources for his own gain that had not yet been formally released or authorized for distribution.
The Federation's position has consistently been that advanced instructional materials should be provided in accordance with established training standards and only after the appropriate prerequisites and training requirements have been completed. Unfortunately, the parties were unable to reach agreement regarding these matters.
The Federation understands that these developments may create uncertainty and disappointment for instructors and students who have acted in good faith. While there are aspects of this matter that cannot presently be disclosed in greater detail, please be assured that the Federation's primary concern is the protection of the instructors, schools, and students who have devoted their time and resources to the study and advancement of Kummooyeh.
Options Available to Affected Instructors
Instructors who have been training or operating under Master Moon Kap Kim may choose one of the following paths:

Continue their training and affiliation under Master Moon Kap Kim and any organization with which he has created; or
-
Re-affiliate with the World Kummooyeh Federation and continue their training, certification, and development under the official Federation structure.
The Federation respects the autonomy of each instructor and school and trusts that every member will make the decision that best serves their students, programs, and long-term goals. Schools and instructors who choose to maintain or re-establish their affiliation with the World Kummooyeh Federation will be given special consideration regarding Federation programs.
Notice Regarding Membership Fees and Financial Obligations
The World Kummooyeh Federation is not responsible for membership dues, training fees, or other payments collected independently by Master Moon Kap Kim, except for those fees specifically agreed upon and remitted in connection with official Federation grading or certification processes.
Any questions concerning refunds or reimbursements relating to payments made directly to Master Kim should be directed to him, as responsibility for such matters rests solely with the collecting party.
The Federation further notes that any outstanding financial obligations owed between Master Kim and the Federation remain separate matters to be addressed accordingly.
In addition, individuals, schools, or organizations that are not officially affiliated with the World Kummooyeh Federation may not use, reproduce, or represent themselves through the Federation's protected uniforms, insignia, emblems, trademarks, logos, or other intellectual property without express authorization.
Re-Affiliation with the World Kummooyeh Federation
The Federation recognizes that many instructors and students may not have been fully informed of the circumstances giving rise to this decision. For that reason, any instructor wishing to discuss their status or explore re-affiliation with the World Kummooyeh Federation is encouraged to contact the Federation directly using the information provided below.
Federation representatives will be pleased to answer questions, explain available options, and assist with the re-affiliation process.
The World Kummooyeh Federation remains committed to preserving the integrity, traditions, and standards of Kummooyeh while supporting instructors and students throughout this transition.
